Floods & Storm at Kovalam Beach, Thiruvananthapuram

Please take care on the beach as it would have been nigh on impossible to have performed a rescue in the seas here yesterday.

The beach was overwhelmed by unseasonable tides yesterday with the sea reaching the sea wall/ promenade.

People on sunbeds were caught unaware as the sea left sunbathers and apparel soaked.

The debris washed out from the beach and promenade area left the beach and sea questionable to say the least.

The Hindu reports that 25 houses were flooded with fishing boats and equipment damaged on the high tide of last evening and emergency assistance was being put into place.
