Labu villagers demand independent study .mov
Labu and Markham villagers of Papua New Guinea's Morobe Province are demanding the government conduct an independent study to establish what caused the deaths of hundreds of eels and fish in the Markham & Watut Rivers. So far, the government has relied on information provided by the mining company - MMJV - a joint venture between Australia's Newcrest and South Africa's Harmony Gold.
