Attempting Air Layering Part 1

In this series, I will be sharing my assorted attempts working with the idea of plant propagation via air layering. These two first berry bushes are the little gooseberry and the smokey Saskatoon. To be perfectly honest, I'm not expecting much from these two but it's all about learning as I grow! That and the amount of money I can save by figuring this out is well worth a few failures at first. I was thinking about it, and at even $10 per bush that I want for the long term plans this could easily save me thousands by the time things are all planted out! Why buy 100 little bushes if I can just do this instead? Sure, I still need to gather a few more for the collection but once I get them ... the sky's the limit!
