Cop Lies about speeding

Cop pulls me over for allegedly going 90mph in a 75 zone. I had my cruise set to 83mph (yes I was speeding). In Kansas anything 9mph over the limit and under doesn't go on your record. So cops don't usually write these tickets as the court sees them as a waste of time.

I doubt if I could get him to admit to the lie but either his equipment was faulty or this is a trick he uses to get people to pay higher fines. Once he noticed the dash camera I detected a change in the tone of his voice. This makes me think that it was all a lie. I believe he saw me passing people and assumed I was speeding and didn't actually clock me. If I had a radar detector still I would have know for sure the second he had it locked on.
