I was headed up Broad St in Murfreesboro in front of Toots and the guy in front of me at the stoplight backed into me. He then began to paint it as a huge frustration that I rear-ended him. I told him he had backed into me but since there was no damage I wasn't worried about it and just wanted to get on with my night. I was taking my kids to youth group, going to a church function in Nashville and didn't want to be late.

He insisted it was my fault and suggested we just swap insurance info. I told him I had a dash cam and knew it was not my fault and could prove it. When I declined to swap insurance and said, "Police Report" he gets frustrated and gets into his car. You'll see the defeat in his character when he throws his hands in the air.

While we waited on police he walked to Hardees to get a drink, holding his back, stretching and making it look like he was hurt.

The officer arrived and was very nice. He took our stories and then indicated that the law was on the side of the guy in the other car unless I could prove otherwise. He wrote the report without identifying an "at-fault" driver. At that time I was able to finally bring up this video and show the officer who laughed because of the story he was just fed, made a copy of the video, and added it to the file.

The fun starts at 40 seconds but you might like seeing how the guy was driving leading up to it. Finally, I recommend installing a dash cam. Oh, you know what...I just noticed a scratch on my front bumper...
