Honda eu3000i Handi, Low idle, Low power, Overloads. Solved

My usually very dependable Honda eu3000i Handi Inverter, suddenly wouldn't run correctly It idled low and wouldn't power anything over 3 or 4 amps and that would kill the engine and set off the overload light.
Well it turns out the wires are chaffing where they rub against the back of the inverter pack inside the front cover.
Remove the four screws under the front tow handle. There is an easily removable rubber cap on the on choke off knob remove it and unscrew the screw holding the knob down.
You can now pull the cover off being careful to locate and unplug the covers wiring.
The inverter is the large aluminum finned item. There is one 10mm bolt holding it into the two cradles remove the bolt unplug the brown plug on top and the four plugs on the back as you pull it to yourself you can reach behind the two upper plugs and depress the plastic tabs holding the plugs in. Than you can press the two tabs and remove the remaining larger plugs . Remove the inverter and dust it off carefully with low pressure air or a cloth. Blow out the plugs and receptacles while your at it.
now you can inspect the wiring behind the inverter for chaffing the lowest small plug harness leads to the Throttle Motor and controls the engines idle speed and compensates the engine when under load. Mine was rubbed all the way through the red wire. It had rubbed on the metal edge of the inverter. There was another wire on the largest plug on the back of the inverter. Make sure you repair and insulate all damaged wires and mind your routing of the large wires when putting everything back in.
