Shelly is the first consumer based Wifi Smart Home product that works locally on your network as well as on the cloud without any firmware changes. Some Sonoff Smart Home products are capable of this, but they are far less consumer friendly, and Shelly has FINALLY bridged the gap between total nerd and average consumer.

These products work with Alexa on your Amazon Echo, and also on Google Home just by installing the Shelly skill in the app, but if you want to control them locally then there is HTTP and MQTT support too right out of the box. Shelly can be flashed with Tasmota and other firware too if you are really paranoid so there is something here for everyone.

There is a Shelly Home assistant integration, a Shelly Smartthings device handler and even unofficial firmware for Apple Homekit. This is the most versatile set of Smart Home products on the market today.
