Leveraging New State & Federal Funds for Educator Diversity
With a historic amount of funding for K-12 initiatives, California’s education system has a unique opportunity to strategically support a more diverse and sustainable workforce, while also addressing the state's dire teacher shortages. UCLA’s Center for the Transformation of Schools hosts a conversation about how to leverage state and federal funds to support the recruitment and retention of teachers of color. This session looks at teacher residencies, classified pathways, and national board certification as avenues for diversity. This is a great opportunity for K-12 administrators to gain valuable insight into effective approaches to program spending, resource allocation and design.
