Trading with More Discipline and Better Emotional Control Series. In this video we are going to look at joy and euphoria. We can't really eliminate all our emotions and we're not trying to do that here. We are trying to recognise when these emotions come into play and recognise the negative impact they could have in our trading and take action to pull us away from causing that damage. That's the whole point of it. OK.

Dealing with Joy/Euphoria after A Big Win or a Run of Winning Trades

Potential triggers for joys or euphoria include a series of wins, large win or good run

Recognising
Physical Clues - Smiling, leaning back in your chair, feeling invincible.
Mental Clues - Euphoria, contentment, constantly looking at profit and loss, account size.

Eliminating
You don't really want to eliminate joy altogether because you want to feel satisfied when you make money.
But caution that it doesn't lead to overconfidence and excessive risk taking. Past profits are not 'house money' - it is your money.

When you are feeling high (natural high of winning big money), that's not the time to increase your trade sizes or adding more setups or markets. Enjoy by all means but be very cautious that its not clouding your decision-making process.
