LOS ANGELES - Two people were injured this morning due to a wrong way crash in the Central City area of Los Angeles when two cars and a delivery truck carrying carbon dioxide collided and one car erupted into flames, authorities said.
The crash was reported about 3:30 a.m. at 1548 South Central Ave., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott.
One person who was trapped in a car was extricated before being taken to a hospital in critical condition, Scott said. The 61-year-old man who was driving the truck was taken to a hospital in fair condition.
The car fire exposed a two-story commercial building to flames but firefighters put them out before they could spread to the interior of the structure, he said. -CNS
