Take a glimpse inside the John L. Freyer Aquatic Animal Health Lab. Research at the AAHL focusses on fish diseases and climate change with the goals of reducing impacts on freshwater fish populations.
Recent research studies include the following:
• bacterial, viral and parasite infection challenges
• pathogen life cycles
• pathogenicity, host resistance and virulence
• vaccine development, immunity and treatments
• climate change and environmental studies
• environmental toxicity studies
• technology and diagnostics
• nutritional supplements and feed trials
• climate change/environmental studies
• ecological and trophic interactions
• behavioral studies
• fisheries, hatcheries and aquaculture related studies
The AAHL is a research facility operated by OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences and College of Science. For more information visit https://aahl.microbiology.oregonstate.edu
