Ola Obasi of Ola's Herb Shop
The goal of our Journal is to bring together Journalists and Integrated Medicine Professionals to open up a dialog about the true nature of healing. In this wonderful conversation between two fascinating women, Emmy Award winning journalist Terri Taylor and Olatokunboh "Ola" Obasi M.Sc of Ola's Herb Shop in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh PA, discuss Ola's multi-continental upbringing and training in Herbal Medicine, Dance therapies, and yoga. Ola's unique experience of living in both an Indigenous and a Western world began in childhood when she attended a British boarding school in Kenya, and on breaks would visit her grandmother's village and learn the wisdom of her ancestors. Today Ola brings together in one shop where she offers compounded natural remedies and offer her own line of products, Nourishing Botanicals LLC.
