I love researching and testing 18th century and Victorian cosmetics, skincare, and hair care products. Sometimes the ingredients are beyond strange, but sometimes you come across a recipe, product, or technique that is simply brilliant.

So, for this video, I thought it would be fun to do some experiments with making an 18th-century face moisturizer, or cold cream. We can't use the exact ingredients they did, because spermaceti isn't legal, but we can try and reproduce it as best as we can.

Also, not gonna lie, I am super excited to try the "sunscreen" this spring/summer!
