Winter in the Highlands means I'm super inspired to paint snow lately! In this video I share three gouache snow painting demonstrations on toned paper. My thoughts, tips, talking through techniques for utilizing the toned paper in your landscapes.
I especially wanted to share my techniques for using negative space to reveal the toned paper, vs. diluting the gouache to let the warm undertones show through a little. Both give unique results and are worth exploring! #gouache #sketchbook
