General information:
This is fiction! Dissociative Identity Disorder - which Kevin suffers from - is a complex defense mechanism. People with DID should not be demonized but supported. They have my deepest respect.

Choice of music:
"Psyche (Flash Treatment)" is a mysterious mid-beat remix of Massive Attack's "Psyche". In my opinion the lyrics tell the story of a protector who failed to keep someone safe. Topley-Bird chants "I'll be a shield for life" and then, on repeat, "As I was set to fall in" - a nod to Kevin's two dozen alters. The background voices are faint, their tone intervals yet odd ... It fits the many dissonant voices within Kevin so well. When she sings "dissolving who we are" I split the screen to show the different wills doomed to become the villain.
Other obvious aspects such as the sonar sound (= subconscious) and the title "flash treatment" (= flash light therapy) reinforce the impression of a deeply disturbed character.
