Theme:
David Anderson Collins is one of my favourite movie villains: yes, he is capable, imposing and hilariously overconfident. But the real magic happens when he starts to cause havoc like a malfunctioning robot. I didn't use many visual fx because filters would have destroyed the movie's beautiful 80s vibe. The colour composition, the whole mis en scène, the homage to cult movies like Halloween, Platoon and Terminator - just brilliant.
I further enhanced the 80s feeling with carefully selected music: the John Carpenter'ish soundscape of 'Walls and ways to hide' is a perfect mix of then and now... The sweet 'Anthonio' interlude and the sudden mood changers inbetween are a tribute to the film's soundtrack.
By the way, the video opens with a track by The Caretaker. A good fit because, well, David takes care of things. Though "things get out of hand" very quickly. :)))
