Etoro Trader Review - Slow And Steady

‘Slow And Steady’ is another eToro trader who’s been recommended by viewers. It’s an interesting portfolio - exclusively trading ETF’s which is unusual for eToro.

The idea behind ETFs is that they give diversification and can help lower risk in a portfolio. I know a few traders who trade ETFs and have them in their portfolios, but to find someone who is exclusively trading ETFs is really an interesting find. Grepod is very into them, but he also trades other asset classes.

So, Slow and Steady appears to be marketing himself towards investors who want a stable and low-risk investing system.

He’s talking about hedging and his risk-to-hedge balance a lot in his bio and pinned post, and I go over some brief explanations of what he’s talking about (at least what I understand!)

His risk scores are low, and his returns are also on the low side - but that’s very popular with a lot of people who primarily want to copy a trader who will not lose their money. They may make smaller gains than other traders, but as long as the trader can show that preservation of capital (not losing all their money) is a top priority, there are many investors who will accept those smaller gains.

He hasn’t got a lot of history on the site - we can see back just over 1 year. This is a bit of a risk for me, as I like to be able to see a couple of years of data, but I’m encouraged by the info in his pinned post and the steady gains lack of volatility shown in his chart and stats page.

I’m considering switching Grepod for slow and steady. Grepod is also fairly focused on ETFs but Slow and steady just seems to have done a better job. I liked Grepod initially because of crypto trades too which were sorely lacking in my portfolio, but now that Jay is in there, he’s got that exposure covered…

We’ll see!
