No Stove 30 Minute Sugar Sheet Technique | How to Make Cherry Cake with Cherry Compote Filling

The sugar sheet technique is so sparkly and beautiful so I am all for it, BUT I didn't want to have to wait hours on end. Using the same technique I use to rapidly dry royal icing on cookies, I decided to give it a try with this trendy sugar sheet technique and voila---it worked! You do need to make sure that you really roll it SUPER thin though so that it hardens quickly and dries out.

Cherry Compote:

Ingredients:
As many cherries as you would like (the more cherries you use the more cherry flavour you get!)
1/4 cup of granulated sugar
Juice from one lemon

100 grams of granulated sugar or sanding sugar
25 grams of glucose
