My quest for global peace | Ayane Murakami | TEDxDejima Women

Born and raised in Nagasaki, Ayane Murakami and her generation have never known war. Even so, she continues to pass on her war experiences. She hears from war survivors, uses her imagination, and speaks in her own words. Born in Nagasaki and currently a senior at Nagasaki University. She was a student with a lot of inferiority complexes. With a desire to "change herself," she became involved in nuclear abolition and peace activities as a high school student. In university, she was inspired by the wider world through her experiences as a member of the Nagasaki Youth Delegation and One Young World Ambassador. Since then, she has been thinking, learning, and acting to change the high hurdles in social issues and peace activities. She enjoys meeting people the most and struggles to make a difference every day. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
