Meet 2020 Regents Professor Judith K. Brown, plant pathogen detective. When citrus or cacao crops show a new disease, Judy is the one farmers call from around the globe. Her deep love and respect for science have led her to build communities in remote communities from Africa to Argentina, and of course Florida and Arizona, to understand the full cycle of crop disease, and how to treat it.

The title of Regents Professor is reserved for full professors whose exceptional achievements merit national and international distinction. Regents Professor appointments are limited to no more than 3% of the total number of the university's tenured and tenure-track faculty members.
