How to stabilize wood without spending money #2

In this video I tried to stabilize wood with even simplier tools, because my old refrigerator compressor was broken. All things I used can be found at good junkyard. I also tried to dye the wood with ink, but I used too little ink.

And why to stabilize wood? The perfect thing about it is that you can use any wood (too soft, a bit rotten, etc..) and turn it into very hard high quality wood. For example in this little experiment I used Beech wood.
