This Folded Wallet Design Took 9 Years

Sometimes a design solution has a way of alluding you as it stares you down at the workbench. In this case, it was about 9 years before the simple concept of a tuck-style, 2 pocket snap wallet became what it is now, the Gilby series of wallets. All of the Gilby series will be held together with just Rivets and Snaps - no stitching, nothing else, but without the bulk of the traditional "rivet wallet". I think this wallet is also interesting personally, because it shows how my leather crafting design has evolved from 9 years ago when Corter wasn't even on YouTube! Check back next week for the Vertical version of this wallet tutorial as well, truth be told that version took the longest to perfect.
