LS Swapping a S10: What You Need/Parts List

Want your own 5.3 S10? There isn't a whole lot that goes into it. You just need to make sure that you have all the parts, so you're not sitting around waiting for parts to come in for a long time.

This is everything that I used and did to Ls Swap my 1996 S10 SS that originally was a 4.3/60e truck. Each truck is going to be different than the next, but for the most part they're the same. A lot of the parts are going to be the same. The wiring, driveshaft, and transmission are the main things that will differ between each. I'll leave a list below of a basic parts breakdown (you can get the swap done with less than in the list):

LS swap parts list:
Engine/trans: $800
Harness (CPW new harness): $900
Harness (rework your harness): $400
Driveshaft modification: $150-200
Intrepid fans (junkyard): $30
4.3 S10 Radiator: $125
Engine mounts: $130
Oil pan: $240
Trans Crossmember: $250
Shorty headers: $150
Fuel pump: $85
Fuel lines(3/8 rubber hose): $40
Radiator hose: $30
