COUNTERFEIT NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plugs IZFR6K11

I was really upset to find out that people are selling counterfeit NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs. This is wrong on many levels. In this video I do a side by side comparison of a fake plug vs a real plug.

In the video, I show you how the real NGK plugs are engraved with the words, Assembled in USA from Japanese parts. This is something recent. I bought the same plugs years ago and they just say NGK and the model number I believe.

Aside from eBay, these fakes are also sold on amazon through third party sellers. When you buy stuff on amazon, it tells you SOLD BY and SHIPPED BY. As far as I can tell, none of the NGK plugs on amazon are SOLD BY amazon themselves, they're all third party sellers. Amazon has an FBA program where third party sellers can send stuff to their warehouse to sell on amazon and amazon will ship it out to the customer. Don't confuse the SHIPPED BY amazon prime as being SOLD BY amazon.

Its best to buy your spark plugs from your local reputable auto parts store like Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Nappa, O’Reilly. They have a reputation to keep and will not sell you fake stuff. If you buy online from a third party seller on eBay or amazon, you can ask the seller to show you their NGK seller certificate.
