PEDIATRICIAN discusses newborns, visitors, taking them outdoors, and fevers in newborns
AUGUST 1, 2021 UPDATE;
PLEASE, IF YOU ARE SICK OR UNWELL AT ALL, REFRAIN FROM VISITING A NEWBORN.
DUE TO THE DELTA VARIANT AND AN INCREASE IN BREAKTHROUGH CASES IN VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS, MASKING FOR ANY VISITORS CAN ADD PROTECTION WHEN VISITING A NEWBORN.
TRANSMISSION FROM A VACCINATED INDIVIDUAL IS TYPICALLY LOW, HOWEVER WITH THE VIRUS SPREADING AS SUCH, MASKING WOULD BE AN ADDED LAYER OF PRECAUTION.
