How to get 500HP+ from your FL 8V RS3 with RSS Stage 2 ECU Software, Forge Motorsport & Milltek!

Do you want to know how easy it is to get 500HP+ from your Facelift 8V RS3?

The EVO 2 EA855 equipped Facelift 8V RS3 has incredible tuning potential, with a small selection of bolt-on upgrades and our stage 2 ECU software a substantial performance increase can be enjoyed with a huge increase in horsepower and torque.

This customers goal was for 500HP, and we achieved just that and a little more with the help of our friends at Forge Motorsport for the intercooler and intake parts and Milltek Sport for the downpipe.

We installed the Forge Motorsport Intake Pipe & Turbo Inlet Hose which fully de-restricts the intake, the intake pipe having a 19mm increase in outer diameter and the turbo inlet hose having 60% more volume which fully de-restricts the intake path, allowing the turbo to work more effectively vs. stock.

At the same time we installed the Forge Motorsport intercooler which replaces the hugely restrictive stock item which struggles at stock or stage 1 boost levels. The Forge intercooler has 55% more surface area and 94% more volume to keep charge temps consistently cool for optimum horsepower and torque and better resistance to heatsoak.

After the intercooler we installed the Milltek Sport downpipe with sports cat. This replaces the hugely restrictive factory downpipe and cat which is a huge bottleneck, with the Milltek downpipe in place back-pressure is reduced which helps the turbo to perform more effectively and drops EGTs. This mates up to the factory Sports Exhaust perfectly.

After the upgrades we installed the RSS Stage 2 ECU software which is custom to the car and optimised fuelling, ignition, boost and many other maps inside the ECU to improve horsepower, torque and driveability with the upgrades installed. At the same time the customer opted to install the RSS DSG Software too which optimises the DSG clamping pressure, torque limits and many other maps inside the DSG mechatronic to improve driveability, reduce shift times and eliminated clutch slip related to the factory DSG software.

Unfortunately on this vehicle, we do not have a baseline graph to draw upon for a comparison as it was done in a different gear. Therefore, we can only compare the peak gains and not the gains in the rev range. In the future, we will make this doesn't happen.

🔴 Baseline Output: 398HP & 383lbfts
🟢 Peak gains = 118HP & 194lbfts
🟢 Max output = 516HP & 577lbfts
