Drawing FACES in PROFILE - how to draw the mouth, nose and eye

In this video, we present simple tips and techniques for drawing faces side on (profile views), including the mouth, eyes and nose.

We talk about ways you can see facial features differently - seeing the mouth as a heart shape, the eyelid as a French policeman's hat and so on. The reason is that it's really useful to get away from our preconceptions of how facial features look, so thinking of them as totally different shapes can help.

The tutorial also covers what's important to focus on when drawing a portrait from the side - for example, the areas of shade below the lower lip or in the eye socket, and what can underemphasised. If you're working on drawing faces from different angles, this is for you!
