Starting to use COLOUR - demo with coloured pencils

In this video, we talk about how to start using colour in your figure drawings. We demonstrate our simple process using coloured pencils and a reference photo of a hand from the wonderful resource, Croquis Cafe.

If you have been doing figure drawing, but not tried using colour much, you are not alone! It's common to focus on wonderful materials like charcoal, keeping things monochrome.

If you start researching the use of colour, there is a lot of guidance around colour wheels and colour theory - which aren't too hard to learn but aren't easy to actually start applying to drawing. So our aim is to provide a doable process to get started with colour.
