The stock market headed towards lows again today as more conflict & commodity surges put investors on the fence. With no good news to soften the blow today, today was simply a continuation from the drama yesterday. However, markets didn't sell off too hard given that Jerome Powell will be speaking tomorrow and he could validate or invalidate any market concerns. With conflict & oil prices at highs this will be difficult for Powell to address and could spark a market reaction. The announcement of more oil released from the SPR was enough to spark a reaction in oil and now putting this all together, will these new developments spark the second wave of inflation? I go over all of this and the market recap, then I go over WEAT stock and why I am buying more. If Wheat futures continue to price this historical spread, it is pointing to a decent timeline for the trade and given the external issues with shipping, it could add more fuel to the flame. Nonetheless though, it will be a game of musical chairs as abundant wheat supply can drop the stock and futures very quickly.
