In 2006 a flash game known as the “Scary Maze” became massively popular to a reaction video craze on YouTube. The game is infamous for its deceptively hidden jumpscare near the end of the maze challenge. Today I tell the origin story of this game, and the jumpscare epidemic it went on to create.
