How to Copy Family/Home Video Tapes (VHS, Betamax, Hi8, mini DV) to Digital - ElGato Video Capture

For several years now my wife has been asking me to figure out how to copy some of our old analog videos from VHS tapes and mini DV tapes from our old camcorder to our computer. I knew I was going to need some kind of device that would allow me to convert the analog signal from a VCR or other video cassette player to USB but didn't know just how simple and affordable it was. Thanks to ElGato and their Video Capture device converting our old analog videos to digital was super easy and in this video I'll not only show you what the ElGato Video Capture can do but how to set it up and use ElGato's Video Capture software to convert your old VHS, Betamax, Hi8, mini DV or other video tapes to digital so you can save them to your computer, NAS (Network Attached Storage), the cloud or wherever else you'd like to save them to.
