Deduction –
In deductive reasoning is used when you have one or more statements that you combine to reach a logical conclusion.
Induction –
In inductive reasoning, you come to a conclusion that’s probable. The statements are viewed as strong evidence for your conclusion.
Abduction –
In abductive reasoning, you have the end state and from that, you make an educated guess about what occurred before that. This reasoning is looking for the best

Absolute knowledge and statistical knowledge are as important as logic is. But don't ever assume yourself to be right.
You'll have a pattern you'll follow when learning deduction:
Unconscious ignorance
Conscious ignorance
Conscious knowledge
Unconscious knowledge

Practice. Deduce."

These are not really deduction techniques or skills but more guidelines.
