Fed Credibility Ft. Neel Kashkari

The stock market saw continued relief today despite the lack of news, but Neel Kashkari from the Fed gave the bonds a catalyst after his comments at the Milken Institute. The reaction on the S&P 500 was minimal, as stocks hit another high of the week, but it opened up a discussion that could heat up over the next few weeks. Besides adding some new hawkish messaging, Kashkari brought up Fed credibility several times so I thought I would make a video explaining some of the history behind the Fed. Mainly, Fed credibility is a strategy and it has been used for over 50 years. It leads to the time inconsistency problem and looking how things played out this year, we might be in the middle of it. After this mini economic lesson, I also cover the market recap and my portfolio. I do go over 3 stocks for tomorrow, but a lot are based on earnings or broader commodity trades.
