Eco-Art | Ruganzu Bruno | TEDxArendal
In 2013 Ruganzu was about to give a TEDx talk about his Eco-art, in Sudan. Unforseen events led to the government shutting down the event before he was given a chance to speak - and the presentation was lost.
Trough newly formed TEDx brotherhood and friendship – TEDxArendal worked together with Ruganzu and the TEDxKarthorum team - giving him a new chance to give his TEDx talk he once was denied. He also gets a chance to say "thank you" to the team he worked with those days to build the TEDx stage.
The introductionary movie in this segment is to make context for people who does not know the story in full details. Check in on this amazing tale, and take part in his vision and dream at this inspiring TEDxArendal presentation!
Ruganzu Bruno Tusingwire, an eco-artist from Uganda, turned thousands of plastic water bottles into an amusement park for children, an idea he first started exploring as a student at Kyambogo University. This is just one of many art-projects he has launched. «Art is unifying,” Tusingwire explains. “We can use what is around us to create treasure, employment opportunities, and make the environment better. There is a wonderful world of possibilities before us.”
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
