East London residents raise alarm over sewage crisis

Residents of Nompumelelo informal settlement outside East London are unhappy with substandard service delivery at their area. The residents allege that they are subjected to frequent water outages and burst sewage pipes. They also say they have been on the waiting list of RDP houses since 2011 and those houses have not been built. Residents say they contacted the office of the mayor about their situation but their plight has fallen on deaf ears.
