Celebrations Chatter with Jim McCann; Advocating for Children’s Healthcare with R Baby Foundation

Jim connected with Phyllis Rabinowitz, an #AmazingMom who battled through a tragic loss to make a difference for other families through her incredible work advocating for children’s healthcare. Phyllis is the Co-President of the R Baby Foundation, an organization she founded with her husband Andrew after a misdiagnosed infection led to the loss of their young daughter nine days after her birth.

They created the R Baby Foundation to help newborn babies receive the highest quality of care and service through supporting education, research, training, and life-saving equipment. It’s alarming to know that not all emergency rooms, doctors, and healthcare facilities are equipped or knowledgeable in handling emergency infant care. They launched a campaign to help bring life-saving care to children who need it on Change.org, at https://www.change.org/p/we-need-your-help-to-save-our-sickest-kids. We’re honored by Phyllis’s willingness to share her story and applaud her strength in turning the most difficult situation a parent can experience into a message of hope and positive change.
