Indeed the same thing happened to me. See this video https://youtu.be/7OnnzA5sDxA The orientation was not correct or wrong, the drone was not where it should be such as behind or to the side. My device is an LG V20 but I read on the DJI forum that Xiaomi mi A2 does it too.
Same issue as well on Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Note 10+.
One post said "The calculation of the orientation of the Navigator in the DJI Fly app needs to obtain the GPS of the mobile device and the orientation of the compass, therefore, it is necessary to turn on the permission of your phone's GPS and compass for DJI Fly orientation display to function. It is recommended to calibrate the mobile phone's compass before the flight."
But there is more: The RC has a magnet that affects some cell phones.
Using a phone holder may solve the problem.
