An increasing prevalence of diabetes is occurring throughout the world which brings array of other health issues with it. And the times of Covid 19 has made the situation more vulnerable. A study, published in Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice by King’s College London, identified for the first time the risk associated with diabetic retinopathy and Covid-19.

Like many conditions of this nature, the early stages of diabetic retinopathy may occur without symptoms and without pain. An actual influence on the vision will not occur until the disease advances. Dr Vivek Talwar, an eye specialist in yamunanagar talks on the aspects of diabetic retinopathy and covid 19.
