Things like Hypersmooth 2.0, Higher Bit Rate recording in 2.7K and 4k, Linear mode in all resolutions including 4K 60, The Media Mod, Display Mod and Light Mod, the folding gopro fingers. All these are major differences between the Hero 8 Black and the Hero 7 Black.

But are these differences enough for you to spend nearly $100 more on the GoPro Hero 8 Black. Both the Hero 7 Black and Hero 8 Black have the exact same chipset - The GP1 chip. Both GoPros shoot in the same resolutions (4K 60, 4K 30, 2.7K 120, 1080 240)
