This Stage 2 upgrade package on this MK7R lifted power by as much as 90 and the torque by as much as 104. To achieve this, a combination of upgrades were installed.

The Scorpion downpipe removes the biggest bottleneck in the exhaust system, the factory cat. This downpipe frees the flow from the turbo to the factory cat-back system which drops EGTs and back pressure, allowing the exhaust gasses to flow freely from the turbo.

After the downpipe a full 4-piece intake upgrade is installed with the Racingling R600 intake replacing the factory air intake and installing a full intake across the front of the car, the performance intake hose replaces the corrugated factory item for a free-flowing item and the 90-degree intake elbow replaces the incredibly restrictive factory item. After this the turbo silencer delete is installed, removing the final restriction.

To maximise the performance gains APR Stage 2 High Torque ECU software is installed to optimise fuelling, ignition, boost and many other maps inside the ECU and the APR DSG software is installed to eliminate clutch slip which can happen from the HUGE increase in torque.
