This rebranding story isn't totally unexpected and happened before with other watches & phones. It’s for example similar to the Honor 9x and Huawei P Smart Z story, with the Honor Magic Watch 2 mimicking pretty much everything of it bigger brother, the watch GT 2 from Huawei.

The Honor Magic Watch 2 it’s downsides are pretty similar to the GT 2. Notifications, No Wifi/LTE/NFC (on the CN version there is NFC though!) and the platform is closed, meaning no third-party apps can be installed.

Luckily, there are many, many good things as well on the Magic Watch 2 from Honor.. like the detailed stats after a workout and the sleep tracker that’s incredibly accurate. The battery life is amazing and the added features like pace setter, accuracy of the GPS, and of course the price
