How To Produce Carbon Dioxide (CO2) - SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

All you need for this experiment is Baking Soda and Vinegar. When vinegar and baking soda are first mixed together, hydrogen ions in the vinegar react with the sodium and bicarbonate ions in the baking soda. The result of this initial reaction is two new chemicals: carbonic acid and sodium acetate. The second reaction is a decomposition reaction.
The reaction between baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and vinegar (dilute acetic acid) generates carbon dioxide gas. Carbon dioxide (chemical formula CO2) is a colorless gas with a density about 60% higher than that of dry air (is heavier than air) and that's why CO2 stays in the glass.
