I have found that a mobile hotspot using att service is the best way to get fast reliable internet on the road. Even better get a booster of some kind for when you are in areas with weak service. Second best is get an AT&T iphone so you can hotspot off it. Net Buddy uses a simple $60 a month not contract plan, which I like. You could even use the net buddy plan and use a free phone and text service for a a cheap no contract phone.
