Dual Motor SmartDrive Wind Turbine - Part 3 (Generator Wiring)

Wiring the two washing machine stators in Delta, one factory 1 x 14C and the other in the 2 x 7C configuration.

Delta means the 3 coils are connected adjacently - so the end of phase 1 connects to start of phase 2, end of phase 2 connects to start of phase 3, and the end of phase 3 connects to the start of phase 1.

This is simple to do on factory stators, but becomes a little more complex when wiring down the stator - such as into 2 x 7C configuration.

Usually delta is reserved for higher RPM motors and generators, but I thought it would be interesting to see the results in a lower speed turbine.

Both stators seemed to work good after the wiring, however one had more resistance, which I'm not sure what could be causing it (putting energy into itself). Might be something to do with removing a turn from 1 coil in each phase? I will hope to find out soon.

I am currently working on getting the blades mounted and waiting for some wind for its first official test :)
