What To Expect From the Mandalorian Season 2 EPISODE 2 - (PREDICTIONS)

With the Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 2 being released very soon on Disney+, we’re once again going to make some huge predictions and speculate on what may take place in the journey of Din Djarin and the Child in the episode.

So to start off, we did get multiple conflicting episode lengths coming out from different sources. One rumour said that every episode of the Mandalorian Season 2 would be the same length, meaning Chapter 10 would have to be 52 minutes just like last week, but we did also hear some different rune times. A different rumour also put the runtime of the mandalorian Chapter 10 at 40 minutes, which also makes a lot of sense. Let me know down below which episode length you prefer. Personally, I’d love to see every episode push over 1 hour, but it’s completely possible that they will all hover around 40 to 45 minutes.

After that, we did get the synopsis for the episode released, which is currently unconfirmed, but is most likely correct, which I’ll read to you now. It goes, “The Mandalorian must ferry a passenger with precious cargo on a risky journey”.

To me, this definitely sounds like they’re talking about the egg canister, which we saw in both the Mandalorian Season 2 trailer and some recently revealed Funko Pops, which show the Child with the same egg canister.

If the episode synopsis is actually talking about this same egg canister in the trailer, then we will of course be visiting the same docks and waterworld that we also saw. A lot of us have been speculating about which watery planet this will actually be, but I believe that it will almost certainly be Mon Cala, mostly because of the huge amount of Quarren and Mon Calamari walking along the docks in the trailer shot, who are of course the native species of Mon Cala. For those of you who don’t know, Mon Cala is a water world that has a very long and rich history including many underwater battles during the Clone Wars, becoming home to Jedi survivors after the great purge and also a major production site for Rebel alliance capital ships, which are often converted from building towers on Mon Cala.
Of course, this could also be a different water world which many of these Quarren would have moved to because of its similar conditions.
Another possibility is that this world is Serelia, which was introduced in the Star Wars 2020 comics, and was where a woman named Verla encountered Luke Skywalker around 6 years before the time of the Mandalorian series. Serelia does look very similar to the planet we saw in the trailer, but it also has massive, rocky landmasses so it's more likely to still be Mon Cala.

An interesting thing to note is that the character Verla is actually connected to both Serelia and Mon Cala. In the Star Wars 2020 comic, Verla lived and worked on the fishing docks of Serelia, but before that, she was actually a surviving Jedi Padawan from Order 66, and hid on Mon Cala with her Master, Ferren Bar.

So this leads us on to the next massive prediction. According to Imbd, Chapter 10 is the first episode that Sasha Banks’ character will make her appearance. This obviously makes a lot of sense as she was seen on the fishing docks in the Season 2 trailer, so although ImDB can be edited by anyone, this listing is probably actually right. Of course Imbd did also prove to be correct last episode, listing Timothy Olyphant, who played Cobb Vanth, before Episode 1 even aired.

It’s pretty clear that she’s looking for Din Djarin and the Child, but we don’t exactly know what character she is playing or why she is searching for them. Maybe she’s another bounty hunter, trying to take the child from the Mando, or maybe she is actually a force user, who has felt the presence of the Child in the force and is actively trying to seek him out, potentially to bring him to Luke’s new Jedi academy.

Now there are a few theories on who this mysterious robed figure could be. The most popular theory is that she is playing Sabine Wren, because of the rumours from very credible sources that claimed she had been casted as Sabine Wren. She would of course fit perfectly into this timeline, and will certainly still be with Ahsoka if she does show up. Although we can’t really see her usual coloured hair and Mandalorian armor from Star Wars rebels, if she is undercover, which she looks to be, it’s pretty standard to change your hair colour to a more discreet shade and change your outfit.

Of course, some others believe that she is Verla from the Darth Vader comics, but seeing her in the Star Wars 2020 comic, which is only a few years before the Mandalorian Season 2 is set, I think Sasha Banks looked slightly too young. The armorers’ speech about the Jedi from season 1 was also played over the exact time where Sasha Banks’ character was revealed, so maybe this does back up the Verla theory,
