Flaming invisible inverted tornado inside a giant bubble
I got a thermal camera recently and decided to record my flaming tornado trick with it (inspired by the very talented Tom Noddy.) It's interesting, but I'm a bit disappointed that the tornado isn't visible through the bubble. I think it's because the temperature difference between the bubble film and the tornado isn't great enough, but it may be because the bubble film obscures the tornado's infrared emission. It's interesting nonetheless. The relatively cold bubble fluid I used makes the large bubble tube very clearly cold. It's also very clear that the butane bubble is quite a bit colder and the fog I inject into the small bubble is warm. You can see the warm glycerin fog swirl with the cold butane if you look closely.
