Voltlog #264 - Passive Heatsink Cooling For The Raspberry Pi 4

$2 for 5 PCBs Any Color https://jlcpcb.com Welcome to a new Voltlog, as we all know the new Raspberry Pi4 has some cooling issues so in this video I take a look at a passive cooling solution and whether or not it’s good enough for most uses.

While some of the over heating issues of the raspberry pi 4 can be solved by a firmware upgrade, the core issue remains, we have a more power CPU which produces more heat and the standard raspberry pi plastic enclosure is no good for removing all of that heat.

The alternative presented in this video is a completely passive cooling solution, it's basically an aluminium enclosure that sandwiches the raspberry pi in between, thus ensuring cooling of the main components.
