‘What happened to patriotism?’: Australia Day becoming ‘just a day off’
Sky News host Steve Price has questioned “what happened to patriotism” as Australia Day celebrations become less popular.
Mr Price’s remarks come amid growing calls among Invasion Day activists to change the traditional January 26 date of Australia Day.
“Down here in Melbourne it’s basically just a day off,” he said.
“Nobody does anything.
“Whatever happened to great patriotism and being proud to be an Aussie?”
