Why it matters how we are born | Bettina Breunig | TEDxTUHHSalon
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. As a midwife, Bettina has developed a very natural view of life and death and shares some of the experiences which have been most formative in shaping this perspective. In her talk, she leads us through the wonderful journey of birth and reveals why it matters to be born naturally.
Bettina Breunig, a qualified midwife since 2007, studied at the University Hospital in Tübingen, Germany. She has worked as a midwife at the University Medical Center in Hamburg Eppendorf, gaining experience in many different areas, from delivering babies and providing post-natal care to assisting in minimally invasive laser surgeries and supporting women following still-births. Bettina also works as a freelance midwife and has recently completed a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
