The UNSTOPPABLE Form Of Rotating In Rocket League

This video is a thorough highly edited explanation of back post rotations. I go in depth of what they are, how they work, why they work, why other methods may not work, and examples of them working in actual high level competitive games.

The UNSTOPPABLE Form Of Rotating In Rocket League:
Back post rotations are thought by many to be the best form of defensive rotations in Rocket League. Even at the highest level of play in RLCS, a version of back post rotations is followed. Back post rotations in Rocket League are easy to learn but hard to master. However, you can start learning them at ANY rank any already see your skill and rank improve. When I started rotating at the back post, I went of 4 ranks in 1 season compared to just 1 rank in my previous season of Rocket League. The main misconception of defensive rotations in Rocket League is that defending in the middle of the goal or at the front post is the best spot to defend. That is 100% untrue. In real soccer, for a goalie, the best place to defend is at the front post. However, unlike in real soccer, Rocket League cars have boost and they don't have designated positions like a shooter and a goal keeper. This is why rotating in Rocket League is essential to having good team chemistry. There have been Rocket League videos made in the past about back post rotations but they haven't done the best about explaining every aspect of why, how, where, etc. in my opinion. In this video, I tried to use my editing skills to make it as clear as possible what back post rotations are, why they are important, what makes them useful, and why other forms of rotating may not work in Rocket League. The thing about back post rotations is that they are strictly meant to be for defense but they can be so useful that sometimes you can easily turn it into a free goal if you do them right. The best way to do this in my opinion is to have someone wait slightly up field for a pass. Sometimes it can be hard to get a clear on defense on your own in Rocket League so having someone there slightly up field to pass to can be extremely useful for relieving pressure and starting a counter attack. Multiple times a session, I'm able to get a few goals using back post rotations and having someone slightly up field to pass to on a redirect clear. It can catch the defense way off guard and be a really good transition on to offense in Rocket League. As you reach a higher and higher level of play in Rocket League, you may start to realize that normal back post rotations don't always work. This is largely because plays at that level happen so fast that you need to cut corners and realize when that's okay on defense in Rocket League. The pros in RLCS are extremely good at this and it's the main reason why people struggle to go from high level grand champ game play to pro game play. But overall, back post rotations in Rocket League are extremely useful for getting you out of the ranks of gold, platinum, diamond, and even champion if you learn to master them.
